Description
The Westerly Merlin is a fast comfortable bilge keel cruiser with modern interior layout. She sleeps 6/7 in comfort and has plenty of storage for extended cruises. 3 cabins- aft cabin enclosed with large double berth. It has the same layout as a Moody 31, and I have never seen a better layout in any other 28' boat.
Ceriddinen. was built in 1984, and has just undergone a £1200 rebuild of its Bukh 20 HP inboard twin cylinder diesel engine. She has an in-mast reefing mailsail, which is a very good safety feature, especially when sailing single handed. She also has a sprayhood, which was not fitted when taking photos.
I have been sailing in the Irish sea for the past 30 years. Rear commodore of Merrioneth Yacht club in Barmouth for the last 16 years. This is my 5th boat, but my Wife has given up, she likes 4 star hotels now, and I am finding sailing a bit of a struggle now I am getting older, and so it has to go with very thing I have to do with sailing to go with it. I will miss sailing and having somewhere to stay comfortably on the coast.
Currently out of the water in the Barmouth Yacht Club compound.
Happy to have a chat with anyone interested in knowing a bit more about the boat.
