Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll and CIS submissions to HM Revenue & Customs
• Using Sage Payroll & Sage Accounts 50 software
• Contacting and communicating with Government departments and clients
Bookkeeping duties, including letter writing to relevant government departments and clients
• Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities.
• Processes customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
• Verifies entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or re-entering data; combining data from both systems when account information is incomplete; purging files to eliminate duplication of data.
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Some background knowledge of payroll & CIS including SAGE software and experience in bookkeeping and VAT processing preferred.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Honest and reliable individual required to start in a family founded practice. Must be able to work individually and as part of team.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Training will be given. First three months will be probationary, with permanent contract offered based on performance and potential to work within the practice.
