Suzuki Jimny
£1.500
Description
For sale still (due to eBay idiot dealer wasting my time) is my trusty Zook which I put together to go serious green laning, I wanted a decent off roader so I started with a perfectly good low mileage Jimny not some old pear, it had never been off roaded before I had it so I know what its done and what it hasn't. The only reason I'm selling is that I needed to buy a van and I can't afford to run three vehicles, it's a shame because it's great fun to use and is also the ultimate 'nipping to the shops/park anywhere' vehicle. The engine, gearbox & transfer box are stock for reliability (it is utterly reliable I would drive it anywhere) the suspension has been lifted, the track widened and mud tyres fitted for better performance off road. This will go most places a Landrover will go (I should know I've had over a dozen LRs) for a fraction of the cost and is of course a lot easier to recover should you manage to get it stuck. In my opinion it's far more fun laning in one of these than a large 4x4 and you're smug knowing it's only cost you the price of a packet of crisps in fuel! Extra lighting is all wired in correctly (though a relay) to switches on the dash although the front roof ones haven't come on since ATS fitted a new battery a few weeks ago so maybe a wire's been left off, I've not had time to investigate. 40ch am/fm CB is roof-mounted and all the wiring is concealed. I lost the stereo when I moved house so you'll have to fit one yourself, the aerial's snapped off but there's a new one in the boot. Amazingly for an off roader the seats are pretty good, the floor would make your dog dirty though. There are plenty of dents scrapes scratches and dirt on the bodywork but it goes with the territory. The bonnet is painted matt black to reduce glare from the roof lights and the front reg plate background is also painted on. Obviously the 4WD and Lo range all works fine and they get used regularly, oh the handbrake is useless, it always has been and I've no idea why. On road handling can be interesting due to the suspension lift reducing the castor angle, you can fit caster-corrected bushes to put it right but I just drive around it, you won't want to go more than about 60mph in it with those tyres anyway. Please study the photos and/or come have a look if you want but be under no illusion this is a very used car and will not increase the value of your house having it parked outside. Can't put my hands on the MOT cert but as everything is done online it's not a huge issue - go on gov dot org to do a vehicle check with the reg and you'll see it's MOT'd until 12 Nov 2016. Get in touch if you want to know more or come have a look. £1500 ono.
